Slumdog all the way...

Today Chase and I took part in the AMC Best in Picture Showcase (as we did last year) where they show all 5 nominees for Best in Picture in a row. Starting at 10:30am we watched Milk, The Reader, Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and then Slumdog Millionaire. Frost/Nixon was last, but we had already seen it before. So 10 hours of movie time and all the free popcorn we could handle, Chase and I feel we've put in a good days work. Fan favorite for the day was Slumdog Millionaire, so we will watch The Oscars tomorrow to find out who the winner is...

Flatiron Tour

This Sunday Chase and I decided to do another walking tour (last weekend we did a tour of Wall Street). Though it wasn't as entertaining as learning about the Dutch and their beginnings on the island, it did have a decent outcome. Since it was the first day in forever that the temperature was actually bearable, we finished our tour with lunch at the Shake Shack. That was a beautiful ending. Now we've enjoyed the rest of our afternoon relaxing with the kitties and watching documentaries on MSNBC. Perhaps we'll build up the energy for a grocery store run....
